A matching gift, (also known as a matching fund or matching donation,) is a charitable gift made to a non-profit organization by a matching donor (e.g., an employer) under the provision that an original donor (e.g., an employee) first makes a gift toward that organization. The Jefferson School PTO is a non-profit organization eligible to receive matching funds from corporations. Your membership payment is the donation, and if your or your spouse’s company offers matching gifts, you may apply to have your donation matched. Please consider submitting the required paperwork (or, in the case of many employers, this process is available online,) to allow the PTO to receive funds from your employer.
